托福备考干货——托福写作如何突破瓶颈分？

   托福写作想拿低分不容易，同时想拿高分也很难。基本上有一点英语基础的考试都可以在托福写作上拿到14分左右的分数，但是很多英语实力不错的学生又卡在20-23的瓶颈分难以提升。很多已经达到20分的同学在内容结构式已经没有大的问题了，想要提升分数，就要“润色”自己的句子。那么该如何给自己的句子增添颜色呢？我们一起来看看吧~~

一、多用替换词
比如在表达&ldquo;我认为&rdquo;的时候，首先会想到 I think，实际上，有更多的表达方式啊，比如 think可以换成 hold, maintain, contend, deem, believe, claim。 诸如此类，在表达人的时候，除了people，还可以用 individuals, the public, citizens, one。 在表达好的时候，除了good，还有beneficial, advantageous, rewarding, helpful, useful。 表达许多，除了many，much可以尝试使用a great number of, a host of, an abundance of, a wealth of, a multitude of, a great deal of , a myriad of。
 
二、使用复合句式
1. There is an argument about whether &hellip;.关于是否&hellip;&hellip;存有争论。
There is an argument about whether the government should improve transportation by spending more money constructing the highway system or money should be used to enhance the quality of public transportation.
人们对于政府是否要要多花点钱建造公路系统或者把钱花在改进公众交通质量上尚存有争议。
 *这个句型可以改成：There has (always) been an argument about/between/among &hellip;
  类似的句型：There is a debate&hellip;
 
2. One of the main/primary reasons is that&hellip;其中的一个主要原因是&hellip;&hellip;
One of the main reasons is that traffic congestion could be solved if a nation possessed high-quality roads and highways.一个主要原因是如果一个国家拥有高质量的道路和公路的话，那么交通堵塞问题就可以解决。
 *这句话也可以说成：One of the main/principal causes it that&hellip;
                                                                  
3. It seems to me that&hellip;在我看来似乎&hellip;&hellip;
It seems to me that guns used by police force plays a crucial role in dealing with crimes and its merits outweigh drawbacks.在我看来似乎警察使用的枪对于处理犯罪起关键作用，其优点大于缺点。
 *这句话也可以说It appears to me that&hellip;
 
4. While this may be true to some extent, I believe&hellip; 虽然这在某种程度上可能是真的，但是我觉得&hellip;&hellip;
While this may be true to some extent, I believe the responsibilities of businesses should include making money and making contributions to the community.虽然某种程度上可能的确如此，但我认为公司的职责是挣钱和贡献社会。
 * While可以换成though/although
 
5. While some people believe that&hellip;, others argue that&hellip;虽然有些人认为&hellip;&hellip;，但是其他人提出理由说&hellip;&hellip;
While some people believe that building more sports facilities is the most effective approach to improve residents&rsquo; health, others argue that this has not many positive effects on public health and they require other measures. 虽然有些人认为建造更多的运动设施是改进居民健康的最有效的方式，其他人却说这对公众健康没有很多积极影响，他们需要其他措施。
 *这里的believe/argue，可以换成其他表明观点的词比如claim, contend, point out, think, maintain, insist, assert等
 
6.Besides doing &hellip;, &hellip;also&hellip;除了&hellip;&hellip;，&hellip;&hellip;也&hellip;&hellip;
Besides exercising physically together, citizens may share common things in their life such as mutual interests which bring them closer.除了在一起锻炼身体，市民们还能分享生活中的一些共同的事情，比如让他们关系更密切的兴趣。
*这里的besides可以换成in addition to/ apart from&hellip;
 
7. In order to do&hellip;, &hellip; should&hellip; 为了能&hellip;&hellip;，&hellip;&hellip;应当&hellip;&hellip;
In order to raise the public awareness on using these resources, the authorities should conduct a variety of massive publicity campaigns to offer valuable information about this issue.为了提升公众使用这些资源的意识，官方应当开展各种大规模的宣传活动，从而提供一些与这个问题相关的宝贵信息。
*这里的in order to do可以简化成to do&hellip;只是相比之下没有in order to那么正式。
 
8. There are some underlying reasons for this and I believe that &hellip;关于这点有一些深层次的原因，我相信&hellip;&hellip;
There are some underlying reasons for this and I believe that the local communities gain more benefits than the volunteers themselves.关于这点有一些深层次的原因，我认为当地社区比志愿者本身能获得更多的好处。
*this后面可以加上诸如trend/phenomenon这样的单词
 
9. it is certainly true that&hellip;, but this in no way means that&hellip;的确，&hellip;&hellip;，但是这绝不意味着&hellip;&hellip;
It is certainly true that living with your parents is beneficial in some way, but this in no way means you should not enjoy your student lives at school campus as it brings many advantages for your later career and lifestyle.的确，和父母一起生活在某些方面是有利的，但是这绝不意味着你不该喜欢你们在校的学生生活，因为这会为你以后的职业和生活方式带来很多好处。
 
10. The purpose of...is to do&hellip;&hellip;&hellip;的目的是&hellip;&hellip;
The purpose of advertising is to tell the consumer about any new product or service or any new promotion on the existing product and service. 广告的目的是向消费者讲述新的产品和服务，或者是讲述现存产品和服务的一些新的促销活动。
*这里的purpose可以换成aim
